Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Sunnyvale, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ7 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Clarita's Filipino Cuisine at (408) 735-1721; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 149 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded filipino restaurants in Sunnyvale.
Sunnyvale is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Sunnyvale is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

What a gem! The first thing you notice is how clean the place is, followed immediately by the warm smiles of the extremely nice owners. The pork adobo was phenomenalβthe meat was so soft and full of authentic flavor. I loved watching the owner make the Halo-Halo ("mix-mix") right in front of me. It was absolutely delicious and refreshing. Support this wonderful local business!

Good for a quick bite if youβre in the area. Sisig had plenty of onion and ginger which I liked. The adobo sauce was passable, but the meat was dry. There were self-serve condiments. Their turon is huge, maybe 6 inches. 1 is basically 2 normal turon. The sugar is thick and crunchy but not really caramelized. The banana was a little underripe, it was a little dry and firm. A selection of entrees are made each day but none of them are labeled. They are all oilier dishes. The service was fine.

Amazing home style filipino food for a reasonable price. Large portions. Always stop here when I'm in the area. Great on a cold rainy day.

Homemade Filipino food. The food looked fresh and the location was clean. I ordered the pork adobo, longanisa and rice. It was fantastic even though I knew it would be a bit on the greasy side. Staff is very friendly and made you feel like family. It was lunch time and the place is well known by Filipinos working and living in the area. Great place to have Filipino food!
